Front of House Team Member
We’re looking for a warm, proactive and organised Front of House Team Member to join our dedicated team at Wylies. This role is based at our Wellness Centre in Brentwood.
This is a customer-facing role where no two days are the same. You'll be the friendly face that welcomes clients, offers tailored advice on products and food, and ensures our shop runs smoothly.
The Wellness Centre is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, the role is full time role with an average of 39 hours per week, including every other Saturday. You will be required to work 2 Bank Holidays per year at our 24-hour hospital in Upminster. The role is working alongside another Front of House Team Member.
Key Responsibilities include:
Delivering 5-star customer service in line with our Wylie ethos.
Offering a personal shopper style experience where appropriate. Managing the shop floor and assisting clients, checking in appointments, and keep the practice clean, tidy, and fully stocked. Becoming hugely knowledgeable on our natural/raw pet food and wellness products. Offering advice and support to clients. Overseeing stock control: placing orders, receiving and unpacking deliveries, rotating stock, and creating specific customer orders. Spend time monitoring our Total Care Plan (TCP) with food compliance and queries. Collaborate with the reception team and help with branch-wide tasks such as emails, cleaning, and end of day checks

A people person with a passion for pets and customer care! The successful candidate will be organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage stock and admin efficiently. You will need to be a confident communicator, happy to engage with clients in person and by phone.

Registered Veterinary Nurse Job Description (Full Time)
The role of a Registered Veterinary Nurse is full time, working a rota of 4 x 9 hour days and 1-in-4 full weekends.
Both shifts include 1 hour paid break. No on call or night shifts as we have a 24 hour team which includes a dedicated night team.
The hospital is located in Upminster, Essex, close to M25/A127 we have fantastic transport links to London.
Our large busy RCVS accredited veterinary hospital is equipped with excellent facilities, including digital radiography, endoscopy and ultrasonography. The hospital has both separate dog and cat wards including ISFM cat friendly kennels as well as separate isolation facilities. Our theatre is equipped with the latest multi-parameter machines and equipment to perform both routine and emergency surgery. We are a first and second opinion practice with a varied caseload. As part of the RCVS Practice Standard Scheme (PSS), we received six awards for outstanding patient and client care.
Our clinical area uses “Smartflow” which is a paperless record system. By adopting this, we are working towards reducing our carbon footprint. We are a team passionate about sustainability within the veterinary profession and additionally achieved our iiE Green Award in 2023 and 2024 also The Webinar Vet - Green Veterinary Practice of the Year 2025.
Wylie’s is an accredited Training Practice where we strive to train students in achieving their qualification of becoming a registered veterinary nurse. We have numerous Clinical Supervisors who have regular tutorials with our students and are learning new skills for our students to achieve the best training possible. Standardisation is paid for by the practice, but we are always on the lookout for more Registered Nurses to become Clinical Supervisors.
We also have a state-of-the-art Wellness Centre, located in Brentwood, Essex. Here we promote our tailor made healthcare plans and perform nurse consultations both in person and via video. The centre is also home to a wide variety of raw diets for both dogs and cats.This role would suit a nurse whom enjoys working as part of a team, where patient care is paramount and whom strives to provide an individual and tailored service to patients and clients alike. CPD is funded and encouraged. RCVS registration fees are paid, along with access to the staff discount scheme and Wellness hub.

Trainee Veterinary Nurse Required
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Veterinary Nurse to join our large and friendly day team. As a Trainee Veterinary Nurse, you will work closely with our experienced Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses to develop skills and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of Veterinary Nursing. This role would suit someone looking for their first role in the veterinary profession with a career goal in becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse. It is imperative you enjoy working as part of a passionate and hard working team.
This is a full time role at our Upminster 24hr hospital, working a 4 day week and will be part of a weekend and bank holiday rota.Patient care is paramount and we strive to provide a 5-star service to patients and clients alike.

As a Trainee, you will be put through our in-house training. This consists of being equipped and prepared with all the skills you will need to thrive at nursing college. You will have an allocated mentor who will guide and develop you through your time as a Trainee before you are enrolled at College. We will only enrol those who have met our exacting standards once they are confident and capable with all skills taught to them during this time. As part of the role you will be required to ensure the cleanliness of the practice premises, ensure that patient accommodation is maintained, and assist our qualified team with handling and restraining animals within your competence skills. Unpacking raw food deliveries, replenishing working areas with consumable and keeping up to date with stock rotation.
